Wellbeing Ambassadors

At High Green Primary School, we are committed to helping every child “become the best version of themselves.” Our Wellbeing Ambassadors play an important role in promoting positive mental health, kindness and a supportive culture across our school.

Who Are Our Wellbeing Ambassadors?

Our Wellbeing Ambassadors are a group of specially trained pupils from across Key Stage 2 who are passionate about helping others. They wear their badges with pride and act as role models for our core values:
Be Respectful, Be Responsible, Be Kind and Be Proud.

What Do They Do?

Our ambassadors support the wellbeing of our school community in many practical and thoughtful ways:

  • Supporting Friends on the Playground:
They help children who may be feeling lonely, upset or unsure. They are trained to listen, reassure and involve pupils in games and activities.

  • Promoting Kindness & Inclusion:
Ambassadors model positive behaviour and encourage others to be kind, friendly and inclusive. They help make sure everyone has someone to play with and feels part of the High Green family.

  • Leading Wellbeing Initiatives:
They help plan and lead activities such as Anti-Bullying Week, Mental Health Awareness events and kindness challenges.

  • Working with Staff to Improve Wellbeing:
Ambassadors meet with staff to share pupil voice, discuss ideas and highlight anything that could make our school an even happier and safer place.

  • Supporting New Pupils:
They help welcome new children into the school, showing them around and helping them settle into routines and friendships.

  • Championing Our ‘Best Version’ Culture:
Wellbeing Ambassadors celebrate positive behaviour and encourage others to live out our school values every day.

Why This Matters

Having Wellbeing Ambassadors helps develop confident, caring and responsible young leaders. It ensures our pupils have someone their own age to turn to, and it strengthens our whole-school commitment to creating a warm, nurturing and supportive environment.
