Djembe Drum Workshop

What an incredible day we had in school, last Wednesday, with a fantastic Djembe Drum Workshop led by Steve Rivers from Unbeatable Energy!

The children were so excited to meet Steve, who many of them already recognised from the YouTube videos we use as part of our progressive music curriculum in school. It was wonderful to see their enthusiasm and confidence shine through!

Throughout the workshop, the children explored different drumming techniques, including using tone and bass sounds to create rhythms and musical patterns. They worked brilliantly together, listening carefully, keeping in time and building their own performances.

There was lots of movement, dancing, energy and smiles throughout the day and the hall was filled with excitement, teamwork and creativity!

Experiences like this are such an important part of our wider offer to children at High Green Primary School, helping to develop confidence, performance skills, rhythm and a real love of music. We are therefore delighted to share that we have already booked Steve and Unbeatable Energy again for next year!
