Dear Parents and Carers,

In line with our celebrations for ‘Year of Reading 2026’ and our love of reading at High Green, we are excited to inform you that from Wednesday 23rd to Monday 28th September, we will be holding our very own Travelling Book Fair here at school!

At High Green Primary School, reading is always high profile and incredibly important to us. As part of our commitment to nurturing a lifelong love of books, this is a wonderful opportunity for children to explore a wide range of exciting, age-appropriate texts and perhaps discover a new favourite author or series.

Location: The Woodland Den

Entrance: Please access the fair via the Y2 door on the yard

Opening Schedule

To ensure fairness and flexibility for families, we will alternate the sessions across the week:

Monday & Wednesday

· F2 & KS1: 8.45am – 9.15am

· KS2: 3.00pm – 3.30pm

Tuesday & Thursday

· KS2: 8.45am – 9.15am

· F2 & KS1: 3.00pm – 3.30pm

Please note: For morning sessions, children must be taken to their classrooms in time to be ready for registration.

There will be a fantastic selection for all ages and interests, from picture books and early readers to gripping chapter books and non-fiction texts.

Every purchase made at the Book Fair helps to support our school. In return, we receive rewards that enable us to buy new books for classrooms and our library, directly benefiting all our children and strengthening our whole school love of reading.

We would love to see as many families as possible come along and support this special event as we continue to promote a vibrant culture of reading across our school community.

Let’s make the rest of 2026 a year filled with stories, imagination and a shared love of reading!

Thank you, as always, for your continued support.

Kind regards, Team HGPS
