Walk to School Week from 18th-22nd May 2026.

This year, our school is taking part in Walk to School Week from 18th-22nd May.

Pupils will be encouraged to walk, wheel, cycle or scoot to school every day of the week. This year's challenge will see pupils set off on a special operation - codename Mission Move, to complete our five-day walking challenge. On the way, pupils will met fun and friendly secret agents as they explore the many benefits of walking or wheeling to school.. Each class will work collectively to make as many active journeys to school as possible across the week. Individual activity diaries, daily stickers and end of week pupil rewards will complement this activity, reinforcing the benefits and keeping children engaged.

We would love to see as many children as possible walking or wheeling to school. This could include parking a little further away from school than normal and doing a short walk or scoot. Please remember that if children travel to school by bike or scooter that they will not be allowed to ride them in the school yard.

If your child brings a bike/ scooter to school during this week please see below for where they will need to keep them for the day.
