We are seeking to appoint a committed, enthusiastic and inspirational KS2 SENDCo and class teacher to join our friendly and hardworking team, from September 2023. We are looking for someone who can evidence their understanding of the leadership role of the SENDCo, and is a strong, experienced KS2 teacher.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wishes to play an important part in the continued improvement of our school. You will be working as part of a supportive and dedicated team, who are committed to ensuring our children receive the very best we can offer.
The successful candidate will work in partnership with our established EYFS/KS1 SENCO.
One day release time will be allocated to allow time to fulfil both roles.
We are looking for someone who:
• Is a passionate and innovative teacher.
• Is passionate about providing the very best for our SEND children and their families.
• Is an excellent practitioner who can inspire, challenge, support and empower others in the delivery of SEND provision for KS2 children with special educational needs and disabilities?
• Holds the National Award for SEN Coordination (NASENCO) or is willing to achieve the qualification during the early years of being in post.
• Has good interpersonal skills, establishing excellent working relationships with all staff, external professionals, governors, pupils and parents.
• Can ensure the best possible outcomes for SEND pupils and their families by influencing best practice across the school.
• Is committed to ongoing professional development in the field of SEND and Attendance.
