We are delighted to share that High Green Primary School has been awarded the GOLD Rewilding Certificate of Achievement.

We received this award because of our strong commitment to outdoor learning, sustainability and giving our children meaningful opportunities to connect with nature. Our school has over 10,000m² of green space, including beautiful woodland and our much loved secret garden. These spaces are used every week for Forest School, outdoor exploration and learning through play.

The award also recognises the incredible dedication of our allotment volunteers, who are currently working tirelessly to prepare our allotment for the children. Their hard work is helping us create an exciting new learning space that will benefit pupils for many years to come.

The panel were impressed by our future plans too: creating vegetable boxes for families in our community and our special project where every child will plant a daffodil bulb in a recycled welly to brighten our school grounds in the Spring term.

This award is a celebration of our children, our community and our shared commitment to protecting and enjoying the natural world. We are incredibly proud.
