Dear parents/carers,

We are excited to announce the launch of our Forest School curriculum this September, which will engage every pupil in our school and welcome participation from all members of our community. As part of this initiative, we invite each child to transform an old, unwanted pair of wellies into a beautiful daffodil flower pot.

September to November is the ideal time for planting daffodil bulbs. By encouraging our pupils to plant their bulbs, we not only create a vibrant and visually appealing environment in our school playground, but we also contribute to the well-being of our local ecosystem. Daffodils serve as a food source for butterflies and other pollinators, helping to sustain biodiversity and combat climate change by supporting vital pollinator populations.

We invite you to donate any unwanted wellies, regardless of size, starting after Easter. Together, we can foster a sense of community and responsibility towards our planet while instilling a love for nature in our children.

Kind regards

L. Harding
