Friends of the school (F.O.T.S) are a mixture of parents that work together for the benefit of our children. FOTS have events planned each month up to the end of July 2017.

Thank you to all who have registered on the Easyfundraising website.  Just by clicking on the link we have raised £356.98.  There are currently only 21 members registered to High Green Primary School.  Can you imagine how much we could raise if a few more of us registered??

10 reasons why we need your help;

1. You are vital to the success of the school

Ideally we would like each year group to have at least one class representative.  Last year FOTS helped to fund changes to the school field, provided children with gifts throughout the year and subsidised School trips.

2. It’s totally flexible!

Giving up just 30 minutes of your time to help us is invaluable. If everyone could spare 30 minutes a term to help, just think what we could achieve!
You don’t have to attend every meeting – you can use our contact details to send in ideas for discussion or post ideas in the FOTS box in reception.

3. You’ll feel more connected

There’s no better way to know what events are being planned, have your say or make new fundraising suggestions, than by offering your help and support.

4. You’ll be part of a great network

Every FOTS event is an opportunity to meet other parents in the same situation as you.
You will be part of a like-minded network of people who all share a common goal of improving the school for all our children.

5. Make a difference

By volunteering to help FOTS, you’ll be able to use whatever skills you have for a good cause.
FOTS would like to establish a supportive and encouraging community for the entire school.

6. We’re not just for mums!

It’s important to FOTS, our school and our pupils to have dads, Grandparents, aunts and uncles represented on our committee.
Do you have a family member with a skill that would come in useful?

7. Be a role model

Your children will see you playing an active part in making their education more varied and fun.
Getting involved illustrates good teamwork and community spirit.

8. What FOTS does affect every parent (and pupil)

Your voice matters – FOTS is made up of people like you, so help us to do this effectively.
Your ideas and involvement can help improve the quality of education for all the children at our school.
See the smiles on their faces and know that you have played a part in making school a little more comfortable and fun!

9. It’s fun!

Help plan fun events, socials and get-togethers
Suggest NEW fun ways to raise funds
Get your whole family involved!

10. Finally…

Our children are only at school for a relatively short time. We hope future FOTS events will be remembered fondly by our children for a lifetime. The equipment and resources that FOTS helps fund, make learning even more engaging. Help us continue to create lasting memories for our children.

Please email fots@highgreen.sheffield.sch.uk with any ideas or if you can help in any way!

Thank you!!

Hi, my name is Joanna Evans I am married to Matthew we have three boys Jack 12, Alfie 9 and Max 4. I joined FOTS when Jack started at High Green primary. I love planning events and sometimes get carried away with the decorations! I have made some good friends whilst been in fots and we always have fun at the events.

Hi, my name is Leanne Eeles, I am an intensive care nurse working at Northern General hospital. I am married to Chris and we have 2 girls Sophia (9) and Imogen (6). I joined FOTS when Sophia was in y1. I enjoy baking for FOTS events and have made some great friends along the way. FOTS makes me feel part of our school and community and a sense of giving back.

Hi, my name is Kate (married to Richard) we have two boys Daniel (currently at Stocksbridge secondary) and Sam who will soon be in Y5. I have lived in High Green for the last 17 years.  I have been involved with FOTS since 2014 just by emailing to say I could help at events.  I was made very welcome and even though I can only give a small amount of time I really feel part of the team.  Due to work commitments I don’t get to school as much as I would like so FOTS really helps to keep me feel connected to my kids’ school life.  It’s fantastic to be involved in raising money for the school and seeing what a difference FOTS can make.

Hi, my name is Sarah Tyler and I have 2 boys attending HGPS. You will have probably seen me trying to flog you a raffle ticket at some point!

I really enjoy helping at school and I also have a background in fundraising for various organisations and charities. I am working so I fit this in around other commitments, but it is really flexible being involved in FOTS. Fund raising for the school is vitally important, and if you can help in any way it would be great to hear from you. Support and donations from businesses and help with collecting raffle prizes is really useful as well as helping out organising or supporting at events.

Hi, my name is Karen I’m married with three children Leo(y8) Luke (y5) and Ava (nursery). I started helping with F.O.T.S when Luke started the school in y3. High green school has been amazing for Luke (he likes school now). Helping with F.O.T.S events is lots of fun. It’s also so nice to get involved and help the school that has helped Luke so much.

Hi, I’m Samantha. My husband Matthew and I have 3 girls, Marlie is in Y2, Robyn is in Y5 and Ruby who left last year to go to secondary school. I love High Green Primary and the little community that we are so joining FOTS was a way for me to give back to the school and hopefully make it an even better place for the kids. X
