Governor Vacancy

The Governors of High Green Primary School are looking for 2 Parent Governors to join our team. The team is currently made up of a variety of parent Governors, co-opted Governors, Local Authority Governors and community Governors. The role is voluntary and the initial appointment is for 4 years. 
The full team meets once a term (3 times a year), with sub committees also meeting termly. Governors are required to attend a minimum of 2 committees, and the full Governors meeting each term (9 meetings per school year). The majority of meetings take place between the hours of 6pm and 8.30pm on Thursday evenings. In addition Governors are also expected to attend training sessions throughout the year to improve and support the knowledge of the Governing Body. 
School Governors are an integral part of the Senior Leadership Team for the school and work towards improving educational standards so that children and young people have the chance to achieve their full potential. We support, and hold the leadership to account, oversee financial performance and ensure clarity of vision, ethos and strategic direction.
