F2 update

Thank you all for a wonderful few weeks again…we are so proud of you all!

This half term so far we have explored Autumn and all of the changes that it brings- covering bonfire night and of course lots of fun work about all of the colourful fireworks we have seen. More recently following a morning where our playground had frozen that did lead us nicely into learning all about ice (including winter and snow animals) how it freezes and the process of melting. The children are currently still really enjoying this.

One of the books we have read was Stickman by Julia Donaldson from this the children have produced some lovely pieces of work. We have also  collected sticks from the woodland area and made them into the stick family members and then the following week we hid them in the woodland area. The children have drawn and labelled pictures of Stickman and his family in the woodland area to set the Year 1 children a challenge of finding them when they next go in. They are very excited about this.

As the end of this half term is coming closer we are very excited about what it brings- decorating our Christmas tree in the local church (please go and vote for us!), our trip to the Pantomine, Christmas dinner day and our nursery rhyme nativity! We will definitely need a holiday after all of that!
