Y1 Blog – December

December has been a very busy month in Year 1! The children practised very hard for the class Nativity and were brilliant during the performance! All the children with speaking parts did a great job learning their lines and every single child did a fantastic job learning all the different songs!! Thank you to everyone at home for your support with this!

Over the past couple of weeks we have been assessing the children in Phonics, Reading, Writing and Maths (amongst lots of fun Christmas activities of course!). It has been lovely watching the children working so hard on these and seeing them make such good progress.

We concluded our Dungeons and Dragons topic by presenting the children’s Homework Projects. I would like to say a big well done to all the children (and the adults that helped) for these projects, they honestly were some of the best we’ve ever had in Year 1! They should all be proud of the work that they produced! Next half term we will be starting our new topic… Pirates!

We hope you all have a lovely Christmas and a great New Year!!
